AFTER reading about Mrs Laverty being fined for not displaying her disabled badge outside her house, yes, I do think traffic wardens pick on disabled people.
I also was fined in Ramsbottom on a free car park and I was displaying my badge.
Everything was right with it. I went to the local police station. I have been told that they have to fine so many people per day to make their wage.
Disabled people are sitting targets for them.
I appealed against it and I won, but it's a lot of paperwork and stress until you hear whether you have won or not.
I think it is disgusting how we are treated in this day and age.
I think disabled people should be able to park anywhere, after all, we are disabled which means we can't walk very far.
E COWPE (Mrs), Grane Road, Haslingden.
