FLOWERY Field came out on top as Stand slumped to defeat once again.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Stand lost two early wickets as Wilkinson and Wright were removed by Andy Gleave and Damien Eyre, respectively.

Carl Sutcliffe and John Seedle got things moving again for Stand, adding 46 for the third wicket partnership, with Sutcliffe smashing balls to all parts of the ground before Seedle was caught for 16.

Sutcliffe soon followed him back to the shed and although wickets continued to fall, the run rate was still in excess of four an over, as Stand were finally dismissed for 158. Ali Khan hit a run-a-ball 32 (all in boundaries) and Alex Beirne battled his way to an unbeaten 28. Flowery professional Damien Eyre finished with 7-68.

Pete Sherlock claimed the prize wicket of Flowery skipper Mark Dyson (8) early on, but some wayward bowling gifted runs as Gleave (49) and Radford (47) put Flowery well on their way.

Seedle claimed two wickets from his eight over spell, which only conceded 15 runs, but the home side reached the victory target for the loss of only four wickets with 12 overs remaining.
