TWELVE people have been charged after incidents at Sunday’s East Lancashire football derby.
A total of 42 people were arrested throughout the match at Turf Moor, which saw Rovers supporters rip up 150 seats smash toilets in the away end, and Burnley fans accused of using threatening language and behaviour.
The 12 charged are:
Lee Smith, 28, of Eaglais Way, Macclesfield, charged with using threatening words/behaviour to causes harassment alarm or distress.
Roger Goldie, 41, of Sacksville Street, Nelson, charged with racially / religiously aggravated harassment / alarm / distress by words / writing.
Chris Heffernan, 29, of Prestwich Street, Burnley, charged with using threatening words/behaviour to causes harassment alarm or distress.
Mark Traill, 29, of Oat Street, Padiham, charged with section four words/behaviour fear unlawful violence.
Colin Dunn, 22, of Park Road, Chorley, charged with section four words/behaviour fear unlawful violence.
Simon Morgan, 44 of Revidge Road, Blackburn, charged with using threatening words/behaviour to causes harassment alarm or distress.
Dominic Hosker, 19, of Brunshaw Avenue, Burnley, charged with drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Duncan Bradshaw, 41, of Brunshaw Avenue, Burnley, harged with drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Peter Lawton, 35, of Waddington Avenue, Burnley, charged with drunk and disorderly in a public place and obstructing a constable.
Thomas Holdsworth, 24, of Applecross Drive, Burnley, charged with using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour.
Gavin Broxup, 33, of Harrison Street, Burnley, charged with drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Andrew Porter, 43, of Parliament Street, Burnley, charged possession of Class B drugs.
They will appear before magistrates this or next week.
In addition, nine people were cautioned, nine given penalty notice disorders, five were released with no further action, two were released on police bail and five remain in custody.
