BAE Systems apprentice Philippa Wilson, 22, won a special achievement award at the defence giant’s national apprenticeship awards in Manchester.
Philippa, who works on the F-35 Lightning II programme at the Samlesbury site, said: “I have learnt so much during my apprenticeship and now have a brilliant foundation for my future career.”
The F-35s, which are being partly built at Samlesbury, are the world’s most advanced military aircraft.
