AN investigation has been launched at Stonyhurst College after an alleged drug-related incident.
The Roman Catholic school in Hurst Green is an internationally-renowned boarding and day school that attracts pupils from all over the world.
It currently has over 455 pupils with nearly 300 of them boarding.
A spokesperson for the school, said: “There has been a drug-related incident which we are investigating, but cannot comment on further at this stage.
“Stonyhurst has a zero tolerance policy on drugs in school.
"Any child found supplying drugs will be dealt with swiftly and must expect to be expelled immediately.
“Those found possessing or taking drugs of any kind must also expect to be expelled immediately but in some circumstances a supportive regime may be offered as an alternative.
“Stonyhurst believes in the paramount importance of the safety and well being of young people.”
