ELEVEN people were arrested at the Clarets' Premier League clash with Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on Tuesday, police have revealed.
Officers said five of the fans were with Burnley FC’s travelling contingent while the other six were supporting the home team.
They were all arrested for public order offences and a further six people were thrown out of the stadium for anti-social behaviour, officers said.
Police were out in force for the match, which saw Owen Coyle face his former club just three weeks after moving to the Reebok.
They said most fans behaved themselves although there was some minor damage caused to the toilets in the South Stand where the Clarets fans were.
Another arrest was made after a minor altercation at the nearby Beehive pub, police said.
Superintendent Chris Hankinson said: “A tiny minority spoiled it for the majority.”
