A second arrest has been made by detectives in a rape investigation dating back more than 20 years.
Lancashire police detained a 45-year-old man at his Ayrshire home early yesterday as part of an inquiry into the abduction and rape of a 22-year-old in Robin House Lane in December 1989.
Police have appealed again for two women, approached by two men in Burnley bus station, on the night of December 17, 1989, to come forward as they could provide evidence.
l Glaswegian Leslie Marshall has already been charged with rape and kidnap and will appear before Preston Crown Court in April.
