TEN police officers will be putting their fitness to the test when they take part in this year’s Yorkshire Three Peaks walk.
The bobbies, from Colne police station, will be attempting to climb Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough to raise cash for Pendleside Hospice and the British Heart Foundation.
The team of four PCSO’s, four community beat managers, together with Sergeant Keith Beckley and admin assistant Geoff Dickinson are aiming to finish the 25-mile challenge in under 10 hours and raise more than £3,000.
The walk will take place on July 24 and the team will be aiming to gain sponsorship from local firms and residents.
For more information speak to your local community beat manager or PCSO.
