The Rishton-based A Cappella Singers are looking for a new music director. This highly acclaimed group of singers from the Hyndburn, Blackburn and Ribble Valley area are searching for a new music director who will take up this position as soon as is reasonably possible.
The group perform three major concerts throughout the year and follow the school term times. Concerts are usually held in March, June and December. The singers are made up of four parts and rehearse during school terms times on a Wednesday evening in Wilpshire, Blackburn. The singers not only perform music 'a cappella', but do works that also require the services of an accompanist or group. Performing mainly in Lancashire, they have raised considerable amount of money for various charities and churches and have always been well received and in many cases have returned for second of even third appearances since they were formed in February 1995.
