A WOMAN has been rewarded for her dedication after being presented with Girlguiding UK's top accolade.
Jane Flegg, 24, of Oswaldtwistle, was awarded the coveted Queen's Guide Award by the Countess of Wessex at a ceremony at St James' Palace in London last week.
Around 70 young women from across the UK joined Jane in receiving their Queen's Guide.
The award sees participants take the lead in a number of areas including developing a personal skill, working within pioneering community action projects, and overseeing ambitious outdoor pursuits.
Jane's Queen's Guide achievements included organising and leading an expedition to Edinburgh and gaining her guiding leadership qualification.
