RAID: The Wine Shop
A TEENAGER has been arrested in connection with an attempted knifepoint robbery at a Darwen off-licence.
The 17-year-old was arrested on Wednesday and is being questioned by detectives at Darwen CID.
Around 8.40pm on Sunday, a man with an eight-inch kitchen knife went into The Wine Shop, Duckworth Street and demanded money from the shop assistant.
She refused to hand over any cash and he left the shop without any money.
