A crash on the M65 near Blackburn involving nine vehicles caused long queues in this morning's rush hour.
One lane of the two-lane carriageway, between junctions five and six eastbound near Whitebirk, has now been re-opened following the smash at 8.15am.
Police said queues were stretching back to the M6.
Two people were injured in the crash, near the Haslingden Old Road bridge, and are being treated at Royal Blackburn Hospital for their injuries.
