HYNDBURN Homewise is asking homeowners to check whether they are eligible for an energy grant of £250.
The non-profit home improvement agency, which also offers an approved tradesmen's list, is helping residents to claim entitlements.
Anyone in Hyndburn who owns and lives in their own house, and is over 55, could get up to £250 towards improving energy efficiency.
Work can include improving insulation, draughtproofing, provision of central heating and associated water heating for the first time, replacement of defective boilers with high-efficiency boilers and renewable energy sources.
