COMMUNITY champions will be rewarded for their tireless good works tonight in a ceremony in Rossendale.
Six major category winners will be announced at The Riverside, Market Street, Whitworth.
Battling for the young volunteer award will be allotment growers Matt Dodd and Alex Walton, Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar's environmental group, Tor View helper Keir Forth and Helen Casey, a young Guides leader.
Meanwhile the adult prize will be contested by Rossendale first responder Brian Pickup, Whitworth's own Kevin Ramsden and community worker Josie Walker.
