High visibility police patrols are taking place outside schools after reports that people were parking inconsiderately on zigzag lines.
Letters have been sent to St Bartholomew's C of E Primary School and forwarded to parents after problems in Hall Street.
Police said the parking is restricting access and causing danger to children.
