LEISURE workers have joined forces with a community scheme to encourage Pendle residents to get on their bike.
Staff from Pendle Leisure Trust’s Let’s Cycle initiative run three weekly sessions, which are suitable for a range of abilities.
Representatives of the Nelson-based Wheels within Wheels project and the trust’s Let’s Cycle scheme lead and assist with rides.
The ‘Getting Started’ sessions, aimed at novice cyclists, have already proved a succ-ess, helping build confidence.
The scheme has taken a number of riders and introduced them to the cycleways of Nelson’s Victoria Park.
