ROSEGROVE resident Glenis Stott, of Rosegrove Lane, has won a prestigious award to celebrate new writers.
She scooped £400, as well as a contract for her book “Brother Lijah Built The Ark” after winning the Cinnamon Press Novel Award.
As part of the prize, the book will be published in April 2011.
The novel, a tale of love and loss, follows a young man through his difficult childhood into a life with a religious cult.
