FOUR Rossendale early years and childcare venues will each receive £20,000 to pay for new outdoor play areas.
Lancashire County Council has pledged to provide the money to Greenfield’s Nursery, Irwell Vale and St James the Less Pre-School, all in Rawtenstall, as well as Small World Nursery Limited, in Whitworth.
The facilities are getting the money so they can install new outdoor play areas, many with natural or textured surfacing, and canopies to protect children from the elements.
