A PAIR of books produced by a new publishing house in Barnoldswick are ‘flying’ off the shelves, according to their authors.

Barnoldswick witnessed its first prestige book launch with debut authors Steve King and Elaine Rose on Saturday.

The launch, at the Rainhall Centre, included an audio visual presentation on the centre’s big screen, followed by a question and answer session between the two authors and the audience.

Both authors signed copies of their first editions for people who bought the books, ‘Barlick Tales’ and ‘Jamie’s Mission’.

“It was a super launch for our new venture,” said publisher Heather Sheldrick.

“Sales of the two novels are doing well in the pre-Christmas market.

"We’re aiming to publish much more work from local writers and look forward to receiving manuscripts from budding authors.”

The event was the first venture for the Barnoldswick-based publishing house, Bernulf Publishing.
