FORMER Olympian Kriss Akabusi inspired East Lancashire businessmen and women with a motivational speech.
The former 400-metre hurdler explained how sport and business were similar in reaching the top during an event at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-le-Moors.
The presentation, hosted by social business organisation CXL, aimed to develop business bosses’ leadership skills.
Mr Akabusi, whose mother trained to be a nurse in Blackburn in the 1950s, said: “I really enjoyed mixing with a variety of businesses from across Lancashire.
“There was a lot of potential in the room and I’m excited to think that my words might inspire these business to join the programme and grow, creating new jobs for Lancashire people.”
