MORE than 100,000 visitors have used the Arts, Community and Enterprise (ACE) Centre in Nelson since it opened six months ago, it has been announced.
Manager Kirsty Rose said she was thrilled at the success.
She said: “We work hard to provide something for all the community and our footfall counter is proof that people keep coming back for more.
“Our facilities really are some of the best in Lancashire and we have a diverse programme for people of all ages and backgrounds."
The centre was developed in response to residents identifying a need for a community facilities for leisure and social purposes, and John says: “I’m delighted to say it does that and even more.”
Phil Storey, chief executive of Pendle Leisure Trust, added: “When we first came up with the idea of the ACE Centre, we really wanted to create a venue with a difference with something for everyone.
“The challenge is getting even more people to experience the centre and there’ll be even more live music, children’s theatre, comedy, plays and films next year.”
