A-LEVEL Business and Travel and Tourism students took part in a fundraising team-building walk in the Peak District.

Students from Burnley College Sixth Form Centre made the journey to Castleton as part of an annual event organised by the College’s Business Division.

The walk aims to improve the students’ team working and confidence skills as well as raising vital funds for charity.

This year the students chose to support the Mayor’s Charity: the North West Air Ambulance and will hand over a cheque to the Mayor once all of the sponsorship has been collected.

Head of Business at Burnley College, Gareth Proud said: “The walk around Castleton was an excellent way for the students to get to know each other whilst raising money for a fantastic local charity.

"It also improves the students’ team working skills and provided a great challenge for the start of the year.”
