The Pendle communications firm Daisy has said it plans more takeovers after a year of growth.

The Nelson-based firm is on the lookout for new acquisitions in a bid to boost market share, according to founder and chief executive Matthew Riley.

However, despite a £200million reverse takeover of London firm Freedom4 earlier this year, Daisy also yesterday reported pre-tax losses of £2.1million for the nine months to the end of September.

But the newly enlarged group reported revenue of almost £31million and cash reserves of £22.5million. Last month, Daisy announced it would create around 150 new jobs when its new building, next door to its current headquarters, opens next month.

In July, the company also took over London-based Vialtus Solutions as it completed a multi-million pound flotation on to the stock market.

Daisy provides telecoms services to businesses in the UK.
