BUSINESS students at Burnley College Sixth Form took part in a Dragon’s Den pitch to show off their entrepreneurial skills.
The students had to come up with a new and innovative business idea that took its inspiration from something local.
They then had to produce an ideas sheet, competitor analysis and financial forecasts before presenting a three-minute pitch to a panel of ‘dragons’.
Gareth Proud, head of business at the sixth form centre, said: “The students came up with a diverse range of new business ideas and put a lot of effort into researching their viability, competitors and budgets.
“They benefited from guest speakers throughout the day from a range of disciplines including marketing, finance and human resources, as well as conducting extensive research on the internet.”
