POLICE have charged a sixth man in connection with an arson attack which killed a Blackburn couple.

Hisamuddin Ibrahim, 20, of Shelley Avenue, East Ham, London, has been charged with the murder of Abdullah and Aysha Muhammad and with arson with intent to endanger lives.

He was due to appear before Blackburn magistrates this morning.

Mr and Mrs Muhammad were died after their home in London Road was attacked on October 21.

Ibrahim is the sixth man to be charged by detectives following the incident.

Mohammed Miah, 19, and Habib Iqbal, 25, both from London, have been charged with two counts of murder and arson with intent to endanger life.

Three other men, Peter Bowden, 39, of Lytham St Annes; Imran Ali, 29, of Manchester; and Sadek Miah, 23, of the Isle of Dogs, have been charged with two counts of murder and arson with intent to endanger life.

A 22-year-old man from London who was arrested in Forest Gate on suspicion of murder has been released on bail pending further inquiries and a 37-year-old man from Fleetwood arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder has also been bailed
