A PENSIONER has suffered a fractured leg and eye socket after being hit by a car.
The 75-year-old was crossing Gorse Street, Whitebirk, at 8.15pm on Tuesday night, when he was struck by a red Citroen C15 van.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Police would like to speak to the driver of a Ford Focus who initially stopped at the scene, but left without leaving any details.
