REGENERATION work taking place at Weavers’ Triangle will cost £9.4million according to the council’s budget.
Councillors on the executive committee, chaired by council leader Coun Gordon Birtwistle, will study the current cost of the scheme at a meeting next week.
They are also set to approve releasing nearly £800,000 from the council budget for work on the site, including repairs to Neptune House and Victoria Mill.
In August, council bosses said that a £250million regeneration of the area remained a priority, despite the scheme being shelved last year because of the recession.
The majority of the funding for that scheme will come from the developer.
The budget also shows that almost £2million in funding is yet to be secured, although the council said this was because the schemes were yet to reach the stage where applications for funds can be made.
