A CANDLELIT vigil was held at Blackburn Cathedral last night to mark World Aids Day.
The event was organised by the Jarman Centre in partnership with Blackburn Cathedral.
Described as a time for reflection, learning and remembering, it featured a talk from Adrienne Seed, the chairman of Thrivine, a HIV support group which helps people living with HIV from Blackburn, Burnley, Preston and Blackpool.
Adrienne appeared on the ITV programme This Morning yesterday, 24 hours after meeting Prime Minister Gordon Brown to discuss the battle against the spread of AIDS.
