It was a dream come true for Blackburn pensioner when she switched on Thwaites’ Brewery’s Christmas star.
Jean Forrest, 79, of Pleckgate, was doing the honours after her daughter Stephanie Glover had written to ask if she could.
Jean was joined by Lancashire cricketer Gary Keedy who received £8,000 from Thwaites for his long service at Old Trafford.
