A CELEBRATION of Waterfoot businesses took place on Saturday in a bid to keep the recession at bay.
Your 5 £ocal Heroes Project has been hailed a huge success after uniting traders throughout the town.
Based on projects in the USA, the initiative has been tailored to Waterfoot to support and advise business owners.
Two brass bands, classic buses and an East Lancashire Railway venue were featured.
Organiser Alyson Cadd said: “The event went well and even the sun came out!
“I hope new long term relationships will come from it.”
