TWO MEN are being hunted by police after a fight outside a popular nightclub.

Detectives have released CCTV images of the men they want to speak to in connection with the assault.

It happened outside the lower entrance of Lava and Ignite, in Hammerton Street, Burnley.

Two men, both in their twenties and from Burnley, had an altercation with a group of four other men resulting in them both being assaulted.

One of them sustained a fractured jaw and the other was knocked unconscious and left with bruising.

DC Ifte Ali, from Burnley CID, said: “Drunken violence will not be tolerated in Burnley.

“We are keen to find those responsible for this incident.

“We believe the two men in the CCTV images might have information to assist the police, so I would urge anyone who can identify them to come forward.

“Likewise, if they them-selves see our appeal, I would urge them to get in touch.”

The first man is described as Asian, around 5ft 10ins tall, of proportionate build and in his early twenties.

The second is also Asian, around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build and also in his early 20s.

The incident happened around 3.30am on October 31.
