A MUCH-LOVED dog was reunited with her owners - after being found 50 miles away from home.
Midge, a 10-year-old border collie, was found safe and well in Salford, three weeks after going missing from her home in Salterforth in Pendle.
The brown, white and black sheep dog went missing on September 13.
Her owner, Robert Bradley, and his wife, Jean, drove 600 miles searching for their family pet and put up more than 300 appeal posters.
They also contacted local vets, dog wardens, councils and stray kennels and placed a big sign at the bottom of Sawley Brow, on the A59.
As a last hope, Jean placed an advert in a newspaper and on October 5 they received a phone call from a couple in Salford who had found Midge.
Jean said: “They had taken really good care of her. We feel like someone has given us a million pounds. It’s great to have her home.”
