A NEW £50,000 play area is set to be unveiled in Higher Croft, Blackburn, today.
The Newfield Drive play area has seen the cash spent on new equipment including a climbing frame, an informal cycle area, a balancing trail, boulders and benches.
The site has been developed in consultation with the local community using government cash.
Borough councillor Michael Law-Riding said: “These are exciting times for our young people.
“The Play Pathfinder programme has given us the opportunity to ask children what they want to see and in most cases we have been able to use some of their ideas to enhance their existing play facilities or to introduce new ones.”
