FIRE crews freed a trapped woman from her vehicle this morning after a smash on the M65.
Two eastbound lanes of the M65 were closed following the accident at 8.30am between junctions four and five, near the Darwen exit.
Fire crews at the scene freed a female driver in her 20s from one car before helping paramedics to remove her on a spinal board.
It is not thought that she suffered any serious injuries and the spinal board was described as a precaution.
Traffic was queueing on the motorway for up to two hours following the accident affecting traffic travelling towards Accrington from Blackburn.
