A PATCH of land that was allowed to grow out of control has finally been cleared.
People living near the land off Jacks Key Drive had complained it looked a mess, but it was not clear who owned it.
Now Blackburn with Darwen council has cut the grass and agreed to carry on maintaining it while the owner is tracked down.
Whitehall Lib Dem councillor Karimeh Foster, who lobbied the town hall on behalf of the residents, said: “The council has a policy to keep areas at the entrance to the borough neat and tidy.
"This will be a relief to the residents.”
