A BURST pipe which caused the closure of an Accrington superstore has been fixed.
Asda, in Hyndburn Road, was closed for more than two hours, from 6pm on Tuesday, after water gushed into the store.
It was the second time within days that the store was affected by flooding because of a burst pipe.
On Saturday, store bosses made the decision to close on safety grounds after water began pouring through the roof.
Yesterday a spokeswoman said it was business as usual at the store, which operates 24 hours-a-day, after workmen fixed the problem.
She said: “We had to close because of the burst pipe on Tuesday night.
"In fact, it was a burst pipe on both occasions which affected the store.
“We are open as usual now though.”
