Thousands of people were left without power yesterday after a major power cut.
More than 2,600 Ramsbottom residents were without electricity after a flock of birds collided with power lines in the town at 7.15am.
A spokesperson from National Grid said: “The lines were re-energised at around 7.45am and power was back up and running straight away.”
