TRIBUTES have been paid to a motorcyclist from Accrington who was killed in a smash on the M66 yesterday morning.
Kevin Neal Aspinall, aged 35, of Bullough Close, was riding along the M66 towards junction two at Heap Bridge near Bury at about 5.55am when he was in a collision with a small van and hit the central reservation.
Kevin leaves behind a wife, Nicola, and three children, Faye, aged 3, Cody, aged 10 and Justin, aged 13.
He also had a brother, Karl, and nephew, Carlton.
Nicola and his family said: "We cannot believe this has happened and are devastated by the loss of Kevin.
"He was a beloved husband, son, brother and father and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast with a love for music.
"Kevin will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his family, friends and everyone that knew him."
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Greater Manchester traffic police on 0161 856 1550.
