THE new owners of a mansion which was once home to soccer star Phil Neville have started on a campaign to ‘chuck out the chintz’.
The Lancashire Telegraph reported a fortnight ago how the Nevilles’ pile in Crawshawbooth, Rossendale, had been sold for around £2.6million.
And new owner Matthew Greensmith, an oil tycoon, appears to be in the process of putting his own stamp on the grade II listed property, off Burnley Road.
Monogrammed gates to the six-bedroomed property, bearing the initials of Phil and Rawtenstall-born wife Julie, have been overhauled.
The couple, who originally bought the Valley property for £600,000 nearly a decade ago, now live in the Beetham Tower in Manchester city centre.
