DARWEN Rangers junior footballers took on their parents to raise funds for charity.
The team of under 13 girls played a match against their dads in a bid to boost funds for the football club.
The club is now led by general manager Neil Caville after Bill Stemp stood down at the annual general meeting earlier this month.
Mr Stemp has been with the club since it started in 1991 and has seen it go from strength to strength.
It now caters for more than 200 youngsters who compete in a range of boys and girls teams.
He announced his decision at the annual general meeting, but will remain in an advisory role on the commitee.
New general manager Neil Caville said the whole of Darwen Rangers owed Bill a huge debt for his hard work.
He added: “Bill deserves a rest from the headaches of running such a large organisation.
"Thankfully Bill will still be running the Soccer School along with Paul, his son."
The game took place in Sandy Lane pitches in Lower Darwen on Saturday.
