GUESTS were shaken, but not stirred at Rossendale Hospice’s annual summer ball, raising £34,000 for the charity.
The Bar Wizards, flair bartenders from Britain’s Got Talent, provided the entertainment at the event, at the Fence Gate Hotel, near Burnley.
The ball’s theme of ‘neon and noir’ ensured the hotel was transformed into a sea of colour. The hospice’s special events committee, which organises the event, had put together prizes including a skiing holiday to France, golf at the 2010 Ryder Cup Course at Celtic Manor, and a day at Henley Regatta.
