URGENT action is set to be carried out to clean up a notorious site near Ramsbottom.
Piles of rubbish dumped on the roundabout at the top of Bolton Road North may harm Stubbins Residents Association’s efforts to shine in future North West in Bloom competitions.
Lancashire County Council has informed borough councillors that the clean-up operation is on the agenda.
However, it was reported at a recent council meeting that ownership issues may arise before work can be carried out, and discussions between councillors and the assistant operations manager were taking place to solve the problem.
