THE meteoric rise of Britain’s Got Talent’s starlet Hollie Steel has come out of hard work and determination, according to her dance teacher.
The 10-year-old’s work has clearly paid off after she wowed judges on Saturday’s show.
Her dance teacher Kathy Foster, owner of KLF Dance Academy, in Plumbe Street, Burnley, added that Hollie has been a dedicated student along with her brother Josh, 15, since she was five-years-old.
The Oakhill College pupil, from Huncoat, impressed the tough judging panel including Simon Cowell with her performance of I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady.
Kathy said: “Hollie and her brother are extremely talented. Hollie is a confident little girl who doesn’t know how good she is.
“She practises hard and attends lessons three days a week.
"She has always had something about her “I have seen hundreds of children every year but there is some-thing about her and her brother, we just wish we could hold on to her a little longer.
“She is dedicated, along with her brother.
“She has 100 per cent attendance and I continue with lessons in the holidays because of their commitment. ”
Hollie’s first leading role was as Annie in the Christmas production at Burnley Mechanics and Kathy hopes she will be able to perform at their show in June.
Kathy added: “She is just so laid back about it all for a young girl, she’s taking it all in her stride.
“She says she will never forget anybody.
“Hollie is a lovely little girl, she’s a fighter and I hope she does really, really well.”
