A 10-YEAR-old girl from Huncoat has wowed judges on ITV show Britain’s Got Talent.
Oakhill College pupil Hollie Steel is set to become a national sensation after tonight’s edition of the ITV1 show which features her all-singing, all-dancing performance of I Could Have Danced All Night from the musical My Fair Lady.
The youngster, whose parents jobs" target="_blank">work for the NHS, attended auditions in Manchester where last year’s winner, teen dance star George Sampson, was discovered.
In tonight’s show Hollie takes to the stage in a lilac tutu and begins her ballet routine.
Difficult-to-impress judge Simon Cowell initially reaches for his buzzer to dismiss her.
But when she starts singing the audience rise to their feet and judge Amanda Holden begins to sing along.
After the performance, judge Piers Morgan tells Hollie: “We have seen a lot of children on our show over the last three series and I have never heard any of them sing as well as you do.”
Earlier this week, Piers wrote on his blog the show had a “tiny young girl singer who will melt your heart”.
- The show will be broadcast on ITV1 at 8pm tomorrow night.
