PLANTS are needed in Industry Street, Sudellside, to raise residents’ expectations of life, claims ward councillor Roy Davies.
Coun Davies is campaigning for the landscaping work to be done in the area so that local people enjoy a better environment and come together to send a message to vandals.
He said: “A lot of people will say ‘What’s the point of planting anything, they’ll just get ripped out’, but we can’t let that stop us.
“If they get ripped out then we must replant and replant until vandals get the message that they won’t win.
“We have got to come together on this.”
