A PENDLE company has scooped two prizes at a regional awards ceremony.
Nelson-based Daisy Communications was presented with the customer service award and employee Laura Gasson was named apprentice of the year, at Training 2000’s Business Administration, Accountancy and Customer Service Awards Evening.
Laura, 20, of Brierfield, who has worked at the company for two years, was joined by Daisy’s commercial director Tony Dixon at the awards ceremony in Mytton Fold, Langho, to accept the awards from Training 2000, which provides apprenticeships and training courses.
Tony said: “From a staff base of 180, 17 members are involved with Training 2000, representing almost 10 per cent of the workforce.
“We feel it is important that all employees are given an opportunity to further develop and gain new qualifications, and Training 2000 has been pivotal to that approach.”
