A LANDMARK mill in Padiham could make way for a new apartments complex if developers get their way.
Plans have been unveiled to pull down Sherry’s Mill in Stockbridge Road and build 16 flats, alongside three smaller commercial units.
Until recently the mill was occupied by Sherry’s Lancashire Mill Shop and the firm’s textiles factory.
But with the company relocating to the Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, Nelson, the site, off Green Lane, is now empty.
If the plans go ahead the mill would be replaced by a three-storey block containing 16 two-bedroom apartments, with three industrial units being accessed directly from Stockbridge Road.
