FULL time was blown on a Blackburn school’s successful football art exhibition last night.
Meadowhead Junior School, Anglesey Street, had 40 pictures on display incorporating the photographic work of football photographer Stuart Clarke.
Professional Footballers’ Association chairman Gordon Taylor opened the event last week, and headteacher Fran Stevenson said it had been ‘fantastic’ for the school’s ‘creative approach to art’.
She said: “It has been a great opportunity for the school and members of the pubic.
"Year Six pupils have enjoyed getting involved with our creative approach to football.
“Our doors have been open to the public and people have enjoyed looking at the amazing collection of photographs. Stuart is very talented.”
The 40 photographs that were on display, have now been bought by the school, and Fran said she plans to share them with other schools in the area.
She added: “Hopefully we will be able to take them to other schools in the area and share the fantastic pieces of art.”
