A STUDENT has bared all for a calendar to raise money for farmers who find themselves in times of hardship or distress.
Paul White, of Laneshawbridge, Colne, stripped off and posed with props ranging from shotguns to iced buns for the Cream of the Crop calendar.
The final year Rural Enterprise and Land Management degree student at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, was joined by fellow scholars and a handful of staff members for the naked shoot.
More than £1000 was raised within one hour of the calendar going on sale, which will be split between The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) and the students’ summer ball fund Paul, who formerly attended Park High School and Nelson and Colne College, co-produced the fundraising calendar with fellow student Louise Elliott.
The 22-year-old said the calendar involves some provocative poses, but he was not nervous about doing it as he has stripped off for charity before. He added: “The most risque shots were probably the rugby club who went completely naked in a line-out on the pitch.
“This is the second time in two years we have done something like this. It seemed to be a lot easier this time because I knew what to expect.
“If anybody who took part was nervous, they certainly didn’t let on.”
Paul recently returned to Harper Adams after a year on work placement at United Utilities’ Bowland Estate Office.
RABI is a farming charity to help those in need in the farming community. It provides welfare advise, care and financial provision to those who need it.
