COUNCILLORS are on Wednesday expected to approve a new merged primary school in Waterfoot.
Staff and pupils at Waterfoot Primary have been operating across two sites since the school merged with nearby Cloughfold Primary more than a year ago.
Education bosses now want to build a new purpose-built primary building for 315 pupils in Booth Road so the school can be based on one site.
Nine letters have been sent to Lancashire County Council’s development control committee supporting the scheme.
